However, like many institutions in this under-resourced region, Little Angels faces significant challenges, particularly in terms of infrastructure.
The Eastern Cape grapples with some of South Africa’s harshest realities, including high unemployment rates and a concerning rise in teenage pregnancies. These issues create immense pressure on local communities, making access to quality education a constant battle. Despite its dedication, Little Angels Crèche currently operates in a makeshift structure lacking proper sanitation and adequate learning facilities.
Recognising the critical need for a suitable learning environment, Imbizo, joined forces with Little Angels to raise funds for a new facility. The goal is to construct well-equipped classrooms that comfortably accommodate the children and install proper sanitation facilities, ensuring a healthy and hygienic environment. This project goes beyond bricks and mortar – it’s about giving the children of Cambridge a solid foundation for a brighter future.

The prestigious Campus des Jeunes Entrepreneurs Africains( CJEA) program in Montpellier, Occitanie, France, recently welcomed a special guest,IMBIZO (formerly Maison de l’Afrique Australe). The event, held in collaboration with the House International Relations, culminated in a captivating gala dinner at the historic Château De Flaugergues. Here, IMBIZO presented a thought-provoking fashion show titled “Éco Mode Collection Fashion Show,” highlighting the burgeoning movement of sustainable fashion.
The Éco Mode collection fashion show is more than just a catwalk trend, it’s a revolution. This movement champions environmental responsibility, sustainability, innovation, and social consciousness within the fashion industry. Éco Mode designers are redefining the future of fashion by prioritizing these values throughout the entire lifecycle of their garments. The fashion show is creating awareness among consumers who still have clothing with price tags from previous years,” added Siyasanda Larena, the President of the NGO.The CAMPUS JEA program, organized by the House International Relations, with support from Montpellier Metropolitan Méditerranée and the Foundation Prospective Innovation, serves as a launchpad for young African entrepreneurs.
This year’s gala dinner provided an exciting platform for local and international entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative and sustainable fashion designs.
